I Love You to the Moon and Back

I can still remember my first Mother’s Day.  Our first born was almost 3 months old and I received a coffee mug with Worlds Best Mum on it, I still have it packed away in my box of keepsakes.  Becoming a Mum and raising 3 beautiful souls was one of the best things I have done.I strongly believe Motherhood should be celebrated, Mum’s should be in front of the camera having moments captured with their loves.  With these feelings, every year I give away a session to celebrate Mother’s Day for a first time Mum.  This year the winner of the session was Peta.  I asked Peta to write a few words for when I blog her photos. She said she couldn’t write so great, I beg to differ.  Words from the heart are always the best.Following are Peta’s beautiful words about being a Mum, (I didn’t ask to be mentioned and I am very touched that Peta will cherish her beautiful photos).Something I have always wanted was to be a mum and luckily enough in November 2017 that dream became reality when our beautiful little Willow came into this world. Motherhood is above and beyond everything I’ve ever expected. Of course with all the highs come some pretty tough lows but I would not change any of it for the world. Willow has taught me patience and a love I’ve never known. We love watching her grow and learn new things each and everyday, although I do wish time would slow down. This Mother’s Day I was able to spend it with my partner, and my family including my nephews and brand new niece. I love that motherhood has bought me even closer with my mum who I would be lost without.
